A Message from Tim Getz, Pastor...
1 Peter 4:9 "Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling"
As believers in God we are to be there for anyone in need. Church needs to be a place were people can go to be taught the word and feel the presence of the Holy Spirit during praise and worship. We are called to help those in need and let the love of Jesus shine through at church, work and everywhere else.
May God Bless you,
Pastor Getz was ordained as a minister in 2005, finally following a calling he has had to serve God in a larger capacity, one where he could make a bigger difference. He and his wife Amber of 26 years, along with their sons, Justin and Zachary have been members of Zion Church for twenty-two years.
Their son Justin is now finishing college and working toward his masters degree in criminal justice and Zacharay is still in high school and active in sports and also plays the guitar for the Zion Church Worship Team.
While Pastor Tim and Amber harbor a variety of family pets in their home, Pastor Tim also avidly enjoys excercising, fishing, hunting and spending time with his family most of all. Besides being a Pastor, he also holds a full-time management career in his time away from church duties.
He accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior when he was 22 yrs. old and during all his years at Zion Church, he has served in many capacities, including being a trustee, a Board of Directors vice-president and also for many years, President of the church Board of Directors. He has used his zeal for God to lead many people to Christ by sharing his past with them and assuring them that God loves all of us and wants the best for us. Serving God and helping others in their walk with God has been his main priority.
Pastor Tim's goal is simply to make Zion Church a place where people can come and feel the presence of God minister to them; a place where you can retreat to cope with the craziness of the world and where you can focus on God's will for your life and that of your family.
He strives to help people put God first in their lives and is willing to work hard to help you overcome your past and its problems, no matter what they may be. He constantly encourages his congregation to utilize the gifts and talents each of us was given to bring glory to God and to further develop the growth of our church.
We have been truly blessed to have him as our Pastor.
